More Seats for Students CIP Community Open Forum

APS will host a Community Open Forum for feedback and refinement of elementary, middle and high school options at Jefferson Middle School on Wed, April 23 from 7-9 p.m. With the help of the community, APS is developing its 10-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). APS values your input in the CIP planning process and needs your feedback on the currently proposed middle and high school capital improvement options. APS Celebrates Earth Day

Every day is Earth Day at APS! From toad eggs in the Barrett Elementary pond to presentations about currents from leading oceanographers, our students are always learning about the environment around them. Creative lesson plans from our teachers expose students to hands on environment-related exercises that help them learn about sustainability, which is one of our core values. (More)

Team Kids
The Board recognized Julie Hudash, Founder and CEO of Team Kids and her Board of Directors President and the four APS schools that participated in the Team Kids Challenge. APS was chosen to host the first national expansion of the award-winning Team Kids Challenge Program which gives elementary school students opportunities to partner with community leaders, including police officers and firefighters, on projects that benefit local, national and international causes.
