  • APS seeks Feedback on Personal Learning Device Handbook
    APS developed a handbook to address parent and staff questions regarding the personalized learning initiative. Please take a moment to read over the draft and provide your comments so that we can be sure we are addressing the needs of our stakeholders. Staff will bring the feedback to the Digital Learning Steering Committee and make appropriate amendments  to the handbook.  A final version will be posted on October 31, 2015.  Click here to provide your feedback.

  • APS Achieves Record High SOL Results
    Significant Progress Made in Eliminating Achievement Gaps
    Today, the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) released 2015 SOL results for all public school divisions and schools. Arlington Public Schools (APS) students continue to pass the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) tests at higher rates than their peers across Virginia. (More)

  • Bus Camreas APS Introduces Bus Stop-Arm Camera Safety Program

    Arlington Public Schools is pleased to announce the start of its CrossingGuard® School Bus Stop Arm Safety Camera Program. Starting this week, cameras will be capturing images of vehicles that fail to stop for an extended school bus stop arm. (More)

  • School Health to Provide Sixth Grade Tdap Clinics
    APS reminds parents and guardians that all incoming sixth grade students must provide documentation of having had a Tetanus-Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) booster immunization before the first day of school. Students who do not have documentation of an up-to-date Tdap vaccine will not be permitted to start school. Click here to see a list of options for getting the immunization.
